*** please check out our t-events for summary of our events ***

after our successful event in NYC, we were all charged up for the roadtrip. good energies were all around and lotsa awesomeness in the air. we stoped in indiana PA at kyle and courtney’s for a camp and we were greeted by boop, ben, linnea, kyle and courtney at 4:30am (EST). i stayed up all night catching up with steve boop and kyle roberts who helped us a lot with the bus and the trip in general. after indiana, we stoped in pittsburgh at andy warhol museum for merry molochsters to demand our 15 minutes of fame. after the rally, some went in the museum and some went to market square – a few blocks from the museum. kehinde came to see me with her new “friend” and that was awesome.

palen went to a jazz club to see his friends performing. they were so good and groovey but it was unfortunate that we had to leave – to catch up with our itinerary. i think we are doing pretty good and will be arriving in denver just in time for the DNC. we drove through 4 states today and stoped (more then an hour) in chicago and indiana. anyways, tomorrow will be a long day and i am preparing meditation hours for the merry molochsters.

we have internet on the MoBus! please ready to see our live stream from our stickam page. as for right now, we plan to go live on monday night (6pm MST) with few times unofficial appearances for R&D purposes. come and join our roadtrip from the comfort of your comfort zone :) please wish us well in our roadtrip and spread the word about this journey. our goal is to promote a more cooperative economy and the DIY culture.

•August 22, 2008 • 1 Comment

Hotel Chelsea (MP) – The Last Great American Roadtrip arrived in New York City on Thursday afternoon three hours late where five new Merry Molochsters joined the MoBus.  Upon arrival the Merry Molochsters first paid tribute at Ground Zero and proceeded to the 23rd Street where the MoBus was parked in front of the famed Chelsea Hotel.  DonJon was spotted at the Hotel attending the opening gallery show of his old friend Suzy as the Merry Molochsters painted the MoBus on the street, danced on the roof of the MoBus and generally created art in many forms.  It was reported that nearly 100 people signed the MoBus.

There was a christening ceremony where ‘Bubbie’ John Daniel was honored for his service to Moloch the Plutocracy during the Bonaroo Music Festival campaign.  He officially christened the MoBus with the name the MoFurthur, although DonJon is in legal dealings with the heir to the Ken Kesey psychedelia empire.

Chelsea Hotel (MP) - Sources close to Don JonVonavich, Eccentric Publisher of Moloch the Plutocracy, confirm that DonJon has been Channeling John Lennon, English rock musician, singer, songwriter, artist, peace activist and founding members of The Beatles. Channeling is also referred to as Mediumship is a practice which is believed by its adherents to be a form of communication with spirits. “DonJon is communicating daily with John about The Last Great American Roadtrip, claims Harayz de’ Funk aka “Funky” Harayz, “John has asked DonJon to complete his aborted Magical Mystery Tour.”

The Last Great American Roadtrip is being promoted by Moloch the Plutocracy and sponsored by the Molocratic Party, who is having it’s convention in Black Rock City, NV during the Burning Man Project. The Molocratic Party is expected to nominate DonJon for their candidate for the 2008 Presidential election, it is unknown if he will accept the nomination.

CIA Attempts to Infiltrate The Last Great American Roadtrip

•August 14, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Chelsea Hotel (MP) - In a bold move, the Central Intelligence Agency attempted to infiltrate The Last Great American Roadtrip. The operation, code named ‘GetMo,’ was executed by a highly skilled covert operative who posed as an aging hippie looking for a driving gig. Homeland Security has been seeking Don JonVonavich, Eccentric Publisher of Moloch the Plutocracy, for questioning but have been unable to locate him to date. A spokesperson for Moloch the Plutocracy, Harayz de’ Funk aka “Funky” Harayz, stated that’ “DonJon advised us that Homeland Security might enlist the CIA in covert action to derail the The Last Great American Roadtrip, but they have very few agents fluent in ‘hippie’ and we know them all. We were blindsided by this agent; he was trained in all aspects of bohemia and cleared our security checks.”

The Last Great American Roadtrip has stepped up security in the wake of the CIA action and is requiring that all participants have Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips implanted under their skin. “This may seem a bit Orwellian, but unlike the CIA, we are doing it with the people’s permission” claims Mr. de’ Funk, “and no one seemed to mind the shock collars to keep them within the 1000 yard parameter of the MoBus.”

It is uncertain if DonJon will make an appearance during The Last Great American Roadtrip.

DonJon Outlines Expectations for The Last Great American Roadtrip

•August 10, 2008 • Leave a Comment
In a recent interview Roger Turgid, Editor-in-Chief of Moloch the Plutocracy,
ask Don JonVonavich, Eccentric Publisher of Moloch the Plutocracy,
“what the fuck do you expect from this dumbass roadtrip…. ah, Boss?
His reply was…

“I expect The Last Great American Roadtrip

Will find a tailwind that will carry them through history;

That little boys & girls everywhere will know the day the MoRevolution began,

The day that the MoBus ran,

The day that our freedom fries were supersized,

The day that our ‘fifteen minutes of fame’ was realized,

The day that music was true to art,

The day that democracy and demagoguery would part,

The day that our forebears passed their fate,

The day that the Lords of Mammon heard the clamor at the gate
,

The day that the tall man burned,

The day that the legendary summer returned,

The day that exposed the sneering weathered face of Plutocracy,

The day that unleashed the awesome power of Molocracy.

Yes, I expect they will say,

that was the day

a small band of Merry Molochsters

stepped ‘on the MoBus’ and drove away.”

DonJon Declares Summer of MoLove for The Last Great American Roadtrip

•August 10, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Refering to the summer of 1967, when an unprecedented gathering of as many as 100,000 young people converged on the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, creating a phenomenon of cultural and political rebellion, Don JonVonavich, Eccentric Publisher of Moloch the Plutocracy, has declared that The Last Great American Roadtrip will have a Summer of MoLove gathering in San Fransisco to celebrate their arrival on September 3rd.

The original Summer of Love became a defining moment of the 1960s, as the hippie counterculture movement came into public awareness.  The Summer of Love is often considered as having been a social experiment, because of various alternative living styles that were utilized during this time, including communal living, the free and communal sharing of resources, oftentimes amongst total strangers, and free love.  “The message of that time is more relevant today, we must build upon the ideas of cooperation, community and humanity that brought so many together that faithful summer” states DonJon, “I could also use a little free love, in this economy the cost of a ‘happy ending’ has risen significantly.”

Details of the events are unconfirmed, but will involve bringing the MoBus to corner of Haight & Ashbury for a rally and bus tagging.
